This place is awesome! The nicest people work here. The food is simple and really good! Who would have thought that one could find a place to eat inside a library.
My chicken salad was delicious! The price was even better. I had tea with my meal. I like sweet tea, but that's not an option here. The tables and chairs are 1960's style were you can enjoy your meal. Was able to position my chair to watch the butterflies outside the window.
If you don't feel like exploring outside, stay inside and peruse all the current magazines. They offer varies sorts of media now, not just books. Multiple things to do here. Libraries are so cool! I like that they have a butterfly garden outside with benches. It's nice to sit outside on beautiful days. Lots of spacious parking!
If you don't feel like hanging out at the library, you can park and go for a walk over to the historic area of Allen. It runs along Saint Mary's drive. There are no water stops along the way. Bring bottled water with you.
Simply A MUST each and every time we visit the library. My son loves their treats. I love their "real food." The owner has made efforts to make it more like a health-minded option and less like a vending machine. I highly recommend grabbing a bite, especially any of the hot daily specials.
Revisited this precious little cafe in a timely manner and had a wonderful experience. Two of us tried a little bit of everything. We split a "Turkey Panini with Provolone" sandwich and a "Chef Salad" and sampled 3 muffins (Chocolate Chip, Apple Strudel & Blueberry). Approximately $15.00. Honestly everything was divine. The sandwich & salad was made to order, we were asked what we wanted as it was being made. Full from lunch, we managed to sample each muffin and all three were fresh, soft and obviously made from fresh ingredients. We really enjoyed our lunch.
