Jennifer Bell
Co-Owner/Culinary Manager
Jennifer Bell has been with Food for Thought Market and Cafe since its fruition. Working together with her parents Lewis and Kathy, she fulfills the day-to-day operations and "front of the house services". Creating menus, scratch baked goods, and espresso drinks are what drive Jennifer's passion and determination. She currently resides in Allen with her two sons, dog and cats.
Kathy and Lewis Bell
Lewis and Kathy Bell are the co-founders of Bell Family Enterprises and Food for Thought Market and Cafe. On a wink and a prayer, they won the bid from the City of Allen to operate in the cafe space located inside Allen Public Library , opening for business in July of 2013. Called the "not-so-silent partners" they provide much of the behind the scenes operations that make the Cafe operate as smoothly as it does. Lewis and Kathy currently reside in Allen, Texas and enjoy spending their free time with their 7 grandchildren and three children.

Mohammad Saleh

Mohammad is currently studying chemistry at UTD. He can be found at the cafe throughout the week and during the weekends. Strike up a conversation about some of his favorite things, like cats, the Harry Potter series, and cooking.
Natalie Smith
Culinary Manager
Culinary Manager, Natalie Smith has worked for Food for Thought for three years. She has three sons and currently resides in Allen, TX with her husband, Tim, and three sons. Natalie loves all things sports (Go Cowboys!). She is a "Boomer Sooner" (though we won't hold that against her) and loves to sing like no one is listening.
Christy Jacob
Culinary Manager
With plans to pursue a Marketing degree, Christy is now a freshman at UNT. Catch up with her some week days as well as weekends and spend some time discussing some of her favorite book series, Harry Potter and Divergent. She also loves to spend her spare time drawing and cooking.
Kevin Vaught, Jr.
Culinary Staff
If you are ever at a Allen High School Orchestra concert, you might see high school senior Kevin, one of our culinary staff members, playing the bass. In his spare time, he enjoys spending a few hours trying to catch a fish and cooking a good meal. Be warned though, you might want to tell him to hold off on the spices. Come by the cafe and be ready to laugh out loud at his hillarious one-liners.
Sarah Azam
Culinary Staff
Strike up a conversation with Sarah Azam, senior at Allen High School, and you might find yourself comparing musical tastes. Spoiler Alert: Sarah is a fan of R and B and she loves spending her free time playing the ukulele. When she is not engrossed in music, she can be found deep inside a Harry Potter book while snugging up with her cat. In her opinion, a much more enjoyable experience than riding a rollercoaster or spending time outside during a hot summer.
Katherine Battle
Website Consultant
Katherine graduated from Austin College in May of 2016, and plans to pursue a career working with social media and websites. She loves Harry Potter, writing for her cooking blog, and reading books by her favorite author, Jane Austen.
